About the instructors:
Ellen Brown is an educational pioneer in both the cannabis and hemp industries. Her unparalleled firsthand industry experience has made her company Sinsemilla Seminars renowned for its expertise and professionalism. For over a decade Ms. Brown has educated thousands on a myriad of topics ranging from Responsible Vendor Training, dispensary services ,commercial cultivation, sustainability, compliance, best business practices and much more.
Her passion for education stems from being an educator in the United States Air Force where she received Air Combat Command - Nutritional Medicine Airman of the Year. After the service, she moved to Humboldt County in 2010 and began her career in the cannabis industry. She became the manager and lead cultivator of a dispensary in Northern California for a number of years. In 2015, Ellen saw there was a need for education in her home state of Massachusetts and she started her budding business, Sinsemilla Seminars.
Luis, originally from Brooklyn, NY, obtained his Eagle Scout award before he went off to college at the University of New Haven where he obtained a Bachelor in Organizational Management and a minor in Hospitality. After college, Luis spent twelve years at a large corporate organization, managing 250+ staff,
generating thirty-five million in yearly revenue.
Although his involvement into the cannabis industry didn't start instantly, he first founded the Paint and Toke and Present Naturals brands and has been a fixture in the New England Cannabis Industry since 2013. Luis is currently the owner and operator of WEPA Hemp Farms and CBD brand of the same name. Luis has also recently opened "A Touch Wellness" a full service CBD and Hemp Boutique and Grow store in Meriden. He is also co-host of "Cannabis Corner" Radio, CT's longest running cannabis themed radio show/podcast, airing on WNHH FM in New Haven.
